Gifts of stock, IRA distributions, and estates
If you're 70½ or older, a qualified charitable distribution from your IRA can count toward your required minimum distribution and may reduce your taxable income. Many in our church give this way. Talk to your financial advisor, then contact us and we'll provide the details your custodian needs. We're also glad to talk about including Grey Wave in your will.
Where it goes
- Sunday. The room, the sound, the large-print Bibles, and the coffee.
- Care. Rides, meals, and visits for people in a hard season.
- A pastor. So Lance can give this church his full attention.
- The next one. A share of every gift goes toward starting another church like this one.
Questions about giving
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. Grey Wave Church is a nonprofit religious organization. You'll receive a receipt for every gift and a statement each January.
Can I set up a monthly gift?
Yes, and it helps us plan. You can change or stop it anytime.
Do I have to give to belong?
No. Nobody is asked, and nobody is watching. Give when you're ready, if you're ready.
Who handles the money?
A finance team of at least three people, none of whom is the pastor, with an annual outside review. Ask and we'll show you the books.
