Most people want the same four things before they walk into a new church: when, where, what happens, and whether they'll fit. Here you go.
An hour that feels like it was made for you. Because it was.
Coffee first
Doors open 30 minutes early. Grab a cup, find a seat anywhere you like. The front rows aren't reserved for anyone.
Songs you know
Hymns and the songs of the last fifty years, at a pitch and volume you can actually join. Words in large print, every time.
One clear message
One passage of the Bible, explained plainly, applied to real life: grief, grandkids, health, money, regret, and what comes next. About 25 minutes.
Communion, then conversation
We gather at the Lord's table every week; everyone who follows Jesus is welcome at it. Then we stay and talk. Nobody sits alone.

Totally optional, and it makes your first Sunday easier. We'll save you a seat, have someone meet you at the door, and answer any question ahead of time.

Park in the lot closest to the main doors. The entrance is level and the doors are wide.
The honest answers.
Do I have to dress up?
No. Sunday clothes, gardening clothes, whatever you'd wear to the diner. You will not be underdressed.
I don't hear well. Will I be able to follow?
Yes. We keep the music at a reasonable volume, the speaking clear, and the words on screen in large print. Sit anywhere you like. If you use hearing aids with a telecoil, tell a greeter and we'll help.
I use a walker or wheelchair.
The entrance is level, the parking is close, the aisles are wide, and there is space at the end of every row. You will not be a bother. You'll be a regular.
I'm not religious. Or I was raised something else.
You're welcome. Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, lapsed, or "never went." Nobody will quiz you, ask you to stand up, or expect you to know when to sit. We are Christians only, but we are not the only Christians.
My spouse passed away. I don't want to walk in alone.
Then don't. Check the box on the form and someone will meet you in the parking lot and sit with you. A good number of us are walking the same road, and we're honest about it. Grief has a seat here.
Will you ask me for money?
No. There is no offering plate passed and nobody will call about giving. If you decide later that you want to help, the Give page explains how. That's your move, not ours.
Is it only for older people? Can I bring my grandkids?
Grey Wave is built for people 55 and better, but the door is open to anyone. Grandkids, adult children, a neighbor who's 40. Bring whoever you want to bring.
Is this a real church or a program at another church?
A real church, with its own people and its own leaders. We're getting started, so for now we gather in a building that belongs to a sister church.
